01 / About these terms
These terms describe use of the jlc limited. client application and its connected financial-workspace plugin, operated by Jedadiah Luke Chilton, CPA PLLC (the “firm”). They apply to application access and features made available to you. Professional services, fees, deliverables, and the responsibilities of the firm and client are governed by the applicable written engagement agreement.
02 / Your account and permitted access
The private application is available to clients and other users authorized by the firm. Sign in through the approved Microsoft connection using your own authorized identity. Keep your account and authentication methods secure, and notify the firm if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not use another person’s account, share access without authorization, or attempt to access another client’s records.
An invitation, website address, or description of a feature does not itself grant access. The firm may restrict or suspend application access to address a security concern, investigate misuse, or reflect a change in an authorized relationship.
03 / Records you provide
Provide only information you are authorized to share for your engagement. Identify the source and date of financial records, and tell the firm about missing information, ownership limitations, estimates, and corrections that could affect the work. Use masked account descriptions where possible. Do not place passwords, MFA codes, recovery keys, or banking login credentials in chat, uploaded documents, or saved instructions.
You authorize the firm to process the information you provide for the application features and services you request, subject to the applicable engagement agreement and privacy notice. Providing information does not transfer ownership of your underlying records to the firm.
04 / Financial records and transaction classifications
Enabled workspace features may help organize source records, import bank activity, and propose transaction categories. Proposed classifications remain drafts until reviewed. Review the transactions and categories shown before approving them, and ask about uncertain items. A reviewed classification is not automatically posted to an accounting system or treated as a tax determination.
Do not assume a live bank feed or accounting integration exists merely because the application can work with financial records. External connections, if offered, require their own approved connection and authorization.
05 / Personal financial statements
The application may prepare draft asset-and-liability schedules, balance sheets, and net worth statements from the records and values supplied. Amounts must reflect the intended person or entity’s ownership share and the relevant statement date. Transaction totals alone do not establish account balances.
Review the statement’s scope, ownership assumptions, amounts, source references, dates, estimates, exclusions, and warnings. A missing asset or liability is not evidence that none exists. Client review records your review of a particular draft; it does not certify completeness, establish an audit or assurance opinion, guarantee acceptance by a lender, or authorize external delivery.
06 / AI assistance and saved instructions
AI-assisted responses, extracted information, suggested classifications, and prepared prompts may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check material results against their sources before relying on them. The application does not replace professional judgment or create a professional-services engagement on its own.
The prompt-writer feature can save your original request and a prepared instruction for later use. Saving an instruction does not execute it, schedule future work, grant additional data access, or authorize payments, filings, messages, or other external actions. Those actions require a separate supported workflow and appropriate authorization.
07 / Privacy and connected services
See the firm’s privacy policy for information about personal and financial data. Microsoft services support sign-in and the enabled Azure application. When you request financial-workspace tools through ChatGPT or another supported host, the selected tool results are transmitted to that conversation. Azure storage does not mean that all processing occurs exclusively within Azure.
Your use of a connected third-party service is also subject to that service’s applicable terms and privacy practices. Not every integration described by the firm is enabled for every client. Ask the firm which services apply to your engagement before sharing sensitive information.
08 / Responsible use and corrections
Do not use the application to obtain unauthorized records, bypass access controls, upload malicious content, misrepresent a source document, or direct unlawful activity. Instructions contained in records or saved prompts do not override access controls or required review steps.
If you identify an incorrect record or result, request a correction. Financial drafts may change when their sources change. Maintain the original supporting records needed for your engagement and use the firm’s approved document-sharing channel.
09 / Availability and changes
Features may be unavailable during maintenance or because a required connection, authorization, or service is unavailable. A draft shown in a conversation is not evidence that a save, submission, or external action completed; check the application’s confirmation. The firm may update these application terms and will identify the effective version when published. A change to these terms does not by itself amend a signed engagement agreement.
